Manuel Duverge Núñez

Manuel Duverge Núñez, age 87, of Bonao, Dominican Republic, passed away peacefully at home on March 1, 2023. 

Manuel was born on January 10,1936 to the late Daniel Duverge and Bertilia Núñez in Bonao, Dominican Republic. Manuel was a brother to 9 siblings: Oliva, Basílica, Paula, Gladys, late Ana, Pedro, Romita, Antonio, Aridios and a beloved Uncle to 60 nieces and nephews.
In 1960, Manuel married Gloria Leguisamon and they went on to raise seven children: Matilde, Bernarda, Nancy, Raquel, Francisco, Daniel and Luis. Manuel and Gloria celebrated 62 fruitful years of marriage. 
In 1990, after working as a driver for many years, Manuel immigrated from the Dominican Republic to Cambridge, MA with his family. Some of his favorite pastimes included gardening, playing cards and dominoes, building things, and most of all, spending time with his growing family. Manuel valued nothing more than his bond with his family and found joy in spending time with his loving wife, children, and grandchildren. 
Manuel's grandchildren and great grandchildren include: Jennifer, Raul, Patricia, Adolfo, Ariana, Xavier, Omar, Cesar, Victoria, Sabrina, Isabel, Samantha, Destiny, Egan, Luslanie, Lucas, Tianie, Gyanie, Daniel, Lila, Mikaela, Kaylee, Kiara, Jaiden, Erica, Noah, and Madeline.
A viewing will be held at Salvatore Rocco Funeral Home (331 Main St, Everett, MA 02149) on Sunday, March 5th 2023 from 1:00-4:00pm and Monday, March 6th 2023 9:00-9:45am, followed by a Mass at Saint Anthony's Parish (38 Oakes St, Everett, MA 02149) at 10:00am.
A funeral procession to Holy Cross Cemetery (175 Broadway, Malden, MA 02148) will proceed immediately following the conclusion of Mass. 
A repast for family and friends will be held at Casa Lucia Function Facility (61 Lucia Ave, Revere, MA 02151) following the funeral.
